There are so many bills that need to be paid each month and they all seem to arrive on different days. It’s difficult to keep them all straight. I have rent on the first of the month and my car payment on the seventh. The cable bill is due the 11th and my cell phone bill is due the 23rd. I have various other bills do somewhere in between and it would be very difficult to keep them organized if it weren’t for the ease of paying bills online.

Every morning I wake up and check my e-mail. I have been doing this so long that it’s almost a reflex. The coffee maker is on the way to the computer to I wake up to make the coffee and start up the computer almost in one motion. Using the satellite internet I bring up my homepage that has the e-mails I had gotten the previous day. I pay all my bills using Clear wireless internet and as such I receive my statements in the same way.

I wake up and there’s a statement that tells me I have a bill due in two weeks. All I have to do is flag it and it will stay on the first page of my e-mails. I check them every day so I know if a due date is coming. After I pay it I delete the e-mail so I know I don’t have to worry about it. If I have no flagged e-mails then I have no bills to pay. Although I also have a calendar where I monitor my bills and due dates it really is simpler to keep the whole process online.
